Twenty years later – Kathy, Sherri, Diane and Gloria

The three still racing – (l to r) – Sherri Bodnarchuk, Diane Knight, Gloria PfeiferOn September 16, 1992 the Village Press, of Warman, Saskatchewan published an article outlining the small but growing number of women regularly competing at SIR. At that time these four women Kathy Barr, Sherri Bodnarchuk, Diane Knight, and Gloria Pfeifer comprised 2% of the regular competitors at SIR. That percentage has now grown to approximately 12% with an influx of competitors in Junior Dragster and a growing number of women in the regular classes.

It has been 20 years since the original article was published and it seemed an appropriate time to update the racing careers of these four competitors.
