2012 Junior Dragster Big Buck Shootout Results

The third annual SIR Big Buck Shootout was held September 15, 2012. The race was presented by Knight Motorsports and Knight Archer Insurance Brokers. The format for this year’s race split the Juniors into the regular SIR Classes – Thunder (ages 8-12) and Lightning (ages 13-17) with the winner of each class meeting in a final King of the Hill Race for an NHRA Wally. The Wally was sponsored by Louis Martin of Martin Components.

The winners and runner ups of this year’s race are Blayz Verge of Prince Albert, King of the Hill and winner of the Junior Lightning Class, Megan Madarash of Wynyard, King of the Hill runner up and winner of the Junior Thunder Class. Last year’s winner of the King of the Hill, Luke Matheis of Prince Albert was the runner up in Junior Lightning and Alaina Knight of Weyburn was the runner up in Junior Thunder. Full details of the race will follow at a later date.

Everyone involved enjoyed the race for the Wally, the cash payouts and the crowd especially enjoyed the sixty seat cushions “frisbeed” into the crowd by the Knight Archer Insurance Brokers Junior Dragster Race Team.
